I'm going to start an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) group.  But instead of it being for alcoholics, it will be for people who are Forever Alone.

Hi.
My name is The Plot Twister,
And I am Forever Alone.

There are many ways to be forever alone.  It takes some people a little more time than others.  But that is okay because everyone can develop these skills:

1.  Smell like cat litter.
  • The smell of cat little warrants off other people.  they begin to associate you with the small.  Eventually, they decide that being around you is not worth burning their nostrils.

2.  Talk about your Tumblr feed with EVERYONE.
  • When I say everyone, I mean everyone.  even the crazy old lady down the block with the bat.  Everyone must know the ways of the Tumblr.

3.  Make internet friends.
  • (Do not Catfish internet friends!) Internet friends do not know how you smell.  They like you based on your Tumblr, which brings me to skill #4.

4.  Have an amazing Tumblr.
  • Internet people will think you are cool and totes not alone if you have an awesome Tumblr.  It's like high school, everyone wants to be friends with the pretty people.

5.  Become obsessed with a thing.
  • Once you are obsessed with a thing, you have no need to fill an empty space.  You live for that thing.  You breathe that thing.  (5SOS is my thing)

So what have we learned?  It is very easy to be forever alone.  It will take some time, but when things get hard just remember you are working towards a lifetime with yourself and the computer.

And every time you see a cute couple making out just turn your head and scroll down your Tumblr feed.

Sincerely,

The Plot Twister

How to be Forever Alone

Today I had an amazing opportunity to view the film, Girl Rising, a documentary following eight girls around the world and their fight to have access to education.

I don't think that many people realize the struggles girls in less developed countries go through.  I think that most of us forget that there is a world beyond our comfort zones.  There are bigger things happening as we speak, and we do not even speculate them.

In places like India, girls are being sold into slavery as young as six just to provide money for their family.

In places like Haiti that have been struck by natural disaster, young girls are struggling to be educated. Instead, they are trying to survive as they tip-toe around the ruins they call their neighborhood.

In the Middle East, girls are being forced not to go to school.  If they even try to speak up they are instantly killed.  Those who do not speak up are married to men twenty years or more older than them at as young of an age as seven years old.

These girls do not have a childhood.

These girls are no stranger to rape, poverty, hunger, illiteracy, death, and so much more.

Fact: 1 in 7 girls in the developing world will be married before the age of 15.

Fact: Half of all births in the developing world are adolescent girls.

Fact: In Sub-Saharan Africa fewer than 1 in 5 girls make it to secondary school.

Fact: Worldwide nearly 50% of all sexual assaults happen to girls 15 years old and younger.

Despite these odds against them, these girls still have a fire in their hearts.  They want to learn and be the best girls they know they can be.  They want to help each other rise.

These girls are rising,.

And they need our help.  I don't want you to read this and forget about it.  I want you to pass the message on.  We need to remind the world that there are bigger things going on.  If we keep passing it on, these girls will realize that the whole world is rooting for them.  They need hope.

The film, Girl Rising, makes us feel what the girls feel,.  It makes us want to fight for them, to fight with them.
Here is the trailer:

It is so important that we get the girls of the world to rise together.

No girl left behind.

Sincerely,

As we all know it is almost time to go BTS aka Back 2 School.  On the realest note, I'm not even sure how I feel about that.  I'm half way on the HOLLA side and half way on the FRICK side.

Now, I am going to tell you why.

There is absolutely nothing like welcoming a new school year other than shopping, and BTS sales are most definetely a reason for me to go HOLLAAAA. (Am I right ladies?)

After you get a ton of clothes you get really fresh ( Or would phresh be cooler????) to impress a bunch of people that you basically hate.

And then there are the compliments.  Everyone deserves a good old fashioned ego boost.

But then at the end of the day you look like crap again because you cry.
Why are you crying?

Homework
& Teachers
& Gross Lunchroom Food
& People.

School means we have to interact with people; that is something very new for those of us who sit in front of the computer screen all summer long.  That is just too much of a transition from being forever alone. Ya feel me?

So basically. school is great until you die.

But for now, let's just enjoy the BTS sales and a little more beach time.

Until next time,

The Plot Twister

My Mixed Emotions on BTS

The MTV Movie Awards came on this Sunday, on the obvious channel (wait for it...), MTV. There was a Pre-Show hosted by Zendaya and Tyler Posey who played with puppies for the entirety of the half hour.  But, the very best part was when Ansel Elgort and Shaliene Woodley, who will be playing Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace Lancaster respectively in the movie portrayal of The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, walked across the red carpet to present the very first sneak peek scene of the TFIOS movie.  Like every other fan I balled up and started to cry as the very first moment that Gus and Hazel met played across my television screen.  And once again like every other die hard fan, I screamed as Gus pulled out his ever-so-famous pack of cigarettes and swiftly put one between his teeth; it was the metaphor hat we have all come to love.

****************************FEELS OVERLOAD******************************

Here is the sneak peek:

Aside from the actual video, Ansel and Shaliene presented an award.  AND IT WAS ANSEL'S FIRST TIME!  He was pretty excited.  I was pretty excited.  He's practically a pro now.  Wow.

In other news, Jared Leto won the award for Best Transformation for Dallas Buyers Club.  I am sure that I am not the only person who had a hard time not looking at his hair during his acceptance speech.  Honestly, I wish my hair was like that.  It's like he doesn't even try.

Also, Zac Efron won for best Shirtless Moment.  Rita Ora ripped his shirt off.  I was kind of appreciative.  I won't put the picture up because I'm going to be respectful of my guy viewers.

Ellie Goulding and Zedd performed their tracks from the Divergent soundtrack.  They were both fantastic.  Not to mention that Shaliene won Favorite Character.  I'm so glad that #VoteTris was such a success.  You guys were literally everywhere.  So that payed off.

All in all, the MTV Movie Awards was pretty entertaining thanks to Conan and many more.  It also kicked off the beginning of TFIOS campaigning! I'm not sure if I should be excited or upset that I'll have to share it now.  I also covered the awards on my IG: @seekinginfinite.

I strongly encourage everyone to watch it.  It will most likely play on MTV thousands of times.  At least that's what happens every other year.

Best Wishes,

The Plot Twister
